New Blog Coming!

We are very excited to announce that we are right in the middle of creating a brand new blog for Rhythm of The Home. It has been a joy to see this blog grow and develop with the contributions of so many of our readers, and we decided that it was time for a major upgrade.

We are working hard to create a blog that brings everything that we can think of to this space, and we are excited to show you all in just a few days. Our web address will be moving as well, but we will redirect this blog directly so no worries there.

For today though, here is a quick recipe from co-editor Heather Fontenot that shares her favorite recipe for Apple Butter (and don’t forget that Nicola shares her favorite apple recipes in the Autumn edition of the magazine)

Slow Cooker Apple Butter

8 Granny smith or other apples cored peeled and sliced
1 C. sweetened, dried cranberries
4 Tbls. Brown Sugar, Packed
1 tsp. cinnamon
3/4 tsp. nutmeg
1 C. water
Combine all ingredients in crock pot. Cook on LOW for 6hrs. Use a potato masher or a hand-blender to mix or mash until the sauce is the desired texture

Enjoy!
