All my children are “required” to do 30 to 60 minutes of “handwork” a day as a part of our homeschool. Boys knit, whittle, draw, sketch or whatever they desire and the girls knit, crochet, sew, needle work, draw, sketch, or whatever they desire. It makes for a very good school day.
-Yes, even the teen boy gets to do his handwork. One of my older ones would use his time to make wooden birdhouses from stuff in the woods. They even enjoy themselves while creating with their hands.
